Isabel Ochoa-Navas first came to NIAMS in 2007 as a medical assistant and patient liaison working directly with patients with rheumatic disease in the underserved community also known as the Community Health Center in D.C. In 2016, she joined the Lupus Clinical Research team. Before joining NIAMS, she worked with the uninsured and indigent patients from 1988-2007 at the Medical Clinic of Spanish Catholic Center, now called Catholic Charities.
